Who are these Naturally Thin people and why is it so important to cultivate the idea of identifying myself as one, first on the inside and then on the outside, in order to lose weight easily?



Naturally Thin people are people who stay thin without following diet plans created by others, but by letting their stomach guide them, by listening to their genuine sense of hunger and fullness. They are people who exercise for pleasure, fun and well-being and who think of food only when they are hungry and not at other times.

Who are Naturally Thin people?
They are normal people, in flesh and blood… They are people who, as the years go by, despite having children, a sedentary lifestyle or going through menopause, stay at their natural weight without dieting. If dessert is served but they are full, they might have just a taste, but they leave most of it on their plate and feel fulfilled just the same.

At a gala dinner they enjoy the many different courses without feeling any guilt. They exercise (not necessarily at the gym) for pleasure and not to lose weight. And if they gain a few pounds it’s not the end of the world: they simply lose the weight. How? By reducing their portions while continuing to eat everything that they like. Why do they feel the need to eat less? Simply because, with a few extra pounds, they don’t feel right.


Naturally Thin people eat because they are hungry and because it tastes good (often the two reasons coincide). People who have lost control of their body often eat to satisfy emotional needs rather than hunger. Emotional needs include relieving stress or boredom, to feel alive, to fill a void or a gap in their lives, for comfort or to pass the time, or they eat out of irritability, anger or because of other feelings.

Do naturally thin people go to the bar to relax with their friends over a beer? Of course they do! They’re normal people like you and me. They’ll have one beer or, if they have another, they don’t let it happen all the time.

Do naturally thin people count all the calories they eat, every beer they drink or the times they get a bucket of popcorn at the movies? No. Their sense of fullness is what guides them. It is the tightness of their belt that tells them when they’ve had enough. Are they afraid of gaining too much weight? No. Because it’s not a possibility. They wouldn’t be themselves, they wouldn’t feel right with their body.

Does a naturally thin person have a deeper understanding of their body? Yes, a naturally thin person feels when their double chin grows a little, when their belly protrudes, when their energy level is low.

Ask a naturally thin person what it means “to be healthy” and they will say that their legs must feel strong enough for a three-hour walk through the woods or for an afternoon of window washing or to paint their own home. Ask a naturally thin person what it means “to be healthy” and they will give you specific examples of things that lead to “good health” for him (or her).
